Wildflower
She stands on the wind that has carried her
Back to the place where she was born
The soft green meadow underfoot
Laced with bright beautiful wildflowers
She soaks the sun in a haze
Looking back from where she has come
How she has grown
This was where she began
The journey through all of its elements
Tormenting her as much as refreshing her
Down the rocky shoreline
Across the wavy waters of the lake
Seeming to drown her when she was tired
And over the mountain
Under the fires of the sun
Baking her as she climbed higher
High enough to feel the breeze
Rising above it all until she sailed
Back to this point
Where it all began.
